The Alien Under The Tree

Greetings Blogaroos! Hope you're enjoying our new, better space. Still tinkering with the layout. Please note that the Blog Archives are now located at the end of the entries. We'll only show the last two posts on the main page, so you're encouraged to check "The Archives" to re-live the wonder or to catch up on what you may have missed.

I've never actually seen an alien sitting under a bare tree. I think that's why I draw things like that, to make up for the fact that I don't see things I'd really like to see out in the world all that often. I have to make my own reality. Well, I guess we all do, don't we? Sometimes I get a little confused and lose track of the things I've made up and have difficulty identifying the "concrete" world. You know, the world that's supposed to exist that we all share. Then I remember that illusion is the name of the game on this here astral plane. And drawing is the ultimate practice of illusion. After all, you're making lines on a 2D surface creating the illusion of 3D forms. Pretty sneaky, actually.
So, since we're all wrapped up in this illusion anyway, we might as well get to see an alien sitting under a bare tree, don't you think?
