When a particular faction of the Duluoz clan migrated down to Denver from Canada in the mid 1800's they sported the same high cheekbone and irregularly juxtaposed eyes--as well as large,although not quite so pointed ears. I'm pretty sure they had some elf genes in there somewhere. BTW, during my earliest travels in the maritime parts of Canada, I learned that Canadians consider themselves Americans (as in the North American sense) and tend to resent U.S. attitudes of excluding them as such. All part of the elf migration southward, I suppose.
