Back To...Normal?

Well Blogophiles, things seem to be finally settling into some sort of "order." I guess it was the short, gloomy days or the holiday stress, but for whatever reason, today I feel a bit more "centered."

My shift at the newspaper is changing to 2:00 pm - 11 pm, a kind of "swing shift" I guess. My job stays more or less the same, except I'll be doing more page design and putting together some section-front "packages." I'll still do the weekly "Datelines" and editorial cartoon as well as the YouToon feature. I'll continue designing the date cover and various inside features of our "weekly entertainment guide."

I'm (mostly) cool with the changes. The shift may actually work out for me (it will cut into family time, however.) This morning after taking the boys to school I was able to hit the gym, get in my daily meditation and eat a sensible breakfast. I should be able to work on other projects I've been struggling with finding time to do, as well. I'm going to focus on my various blogs and get my website up and running. I've been paying for the domain, but haven't got around to getting it together. So no more excuses.

I enjoy the blogs, I believe they help keep me sharp, so having more that 2 minutes to work on them will be nice.

I bring all this up in the hopes you kind readers will keep an eye out for new posts. I'm anticipating some very interesting things to transpire over the course of '08 (including some election coverage!)

Hang in there, see you soon!
